Design in service of the Right to Literacy
Creative Brief
ProLiteracy is a nonprofit organization with three equally critical functions: development focused on fundraising and revenue, editorial responsible for content creation and distribution, and programs dedicated to serving adult learners and educators. The primary challenge was to support the marketing and content needs of all three arms simultaneously while navigating competing priorities, timelines, and audiences.
The role required building shared systems that could scale across departments, align stakeholders, and ensure consistent delivery without slowing momentum in any one area.
Role
Hired into a senior marketing role reporting directly to the President/CEO, with responsibility for coordinating marketing initiatives from inception through delivery. The position sat at the intersection of strategy, execution, and operations—owning timelines, systems, and delivery across departments rather than a single channel or campaign.
